We continue to accept applications for the National Rating “Charity Compass of Ukraine” 27 April 2024 13:04

In April 2024, we have conducted the first this year rating of Charitable Foundations based on the results of Annual Financial Reports.

Three foundations were evaluated: Charitable Foundation “Mriyu Zhyty” (“I Dream to Live”) – 106 points, which is equivalent to 5 stars in the rating, Charitable Foundation “Derevo Moho Zhyttya” (“Tree of My Life”) – 88 points, which is equivalent to 4 stars in the rating and Charitable Foundation “Ya – Mariupol” (“I Am Mariupol”) – 115 points, which is equivalent to 5 stars in the rating.

We should note that the Organizing Committee has received several more applications for evaluation and is working on information submitted.

The three funds that have already been rated received a Ukrainian and English Certificate and an Annex with expanded information on the points awarded.

Nominee’s Certificate of “Charity Compass of Ukraine” rating is a document addressed to partners and charitable organizations that are interested in confirming that their transparent and honest activities comply with tax reporting requirements, adhere to international standards in carrying out charitable activities and is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of nominee among non-profit organizations.

Voluntary certification of a charitable foundation through its participation in the Rating is a new sector’s benchmark for reliability, integrity, honesty and transparency in the activities of a charitable organization.

Voluntary rating of charitable organizations is an open system of accounting for the activities of organizations, an opportunity to publicly confirm the transparency and accountability of their activities and to show the effectiveness of using the funds raised. Thanks to the assessment within the framework of the “Charity Compass of Ukraine” rating, charitable organizations indirectly receive a “star of trust” from society for their further transparent and effective work, to raise public awareness of their activities and potentially increase funding for charitable projects.
